Job Description
We are seeking an Avaya Voice Systems Administrator to support and maintain our enterprise voice environment during a multi-year migration from Avaya to Microsoft Teams Voice. This role is highly operational and fast-paced, supporting a high-volume ticket queue while contributing to a large-scale voice transformation impacting thousands of users across more than 200 branch locations.

Responsibilities
- Administer, support, and troubleshoot Avaya voice systems in a high-volume production environment
- Resolve approximately 40 voice-related support tickets per day, including issues with connectivity, dial tone, voicemail, and call routing
- Perform MACD (Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletes) for Avaya users and stations
- Support voicemail systems and ACD (Automatic Call Distribution) configurations
- Maintain and manage an always-active incident and task queue
- Research, document, and maintain station programming in preparation for Teams Voice migration
- Collaborate with telecommunications carriers to diagnose and resolve circuit issues and outages
- Provide operational stability and user support throughout the remaining migration of approximately 5,000 users across 200+ branches
Must-haves
- 3+ years of hands-on Avaya System Administration experience
- Strong experience supporting Avaya voice systems in a production environment
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex voice communication issues
- Experience with voicemail systems and ACD
- Background handling high-volume support queues in fast-paced environments
- Hands-on experience performing Avaya MACD activities
Nice-to-haves
- Experience supporting or working for telecommunications carriers (e.g., AT&T, Verizon, Spectrum)
- Genesis platform experience
- Exposure to large-scale voice migration projects
- Familiarity documenting legacy voice systems for future-state conversions
