Job Description

We are seeking a Remote Infrastructure & Migration Engineer to support site readiness and cloud migration initiatives for practice management system transitions. This role will ensure locations are prepared for migration from on-premise environments to a standardized cloud-based infrastructure, including network validation, workstation upgrades, and server cutovers. The ideal candidate combines strong networking fundamentals with remote automation and scripting expertise, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site deployment environment.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate site readiness efforts for migration from on-premise systems to cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Ensure workstations meet Windows 11 compatibility standards; coordinate upgrades and perform remote refreshes as needed.
  • Support migration to new centralized servers following operating system upgrades.
  • Validate and troubleshoot network configurations, including DNS, routers, switches, subnets, Wi-Fi SSIDs, and firewall configurations (gold image deployments).
  • Provide remote support using NinjaOne (Ninja RMM) for scripting, printer deployments, profile migrations, and workstation access.
  • Leverage PowerShell scripts within RMM tools to automate deployments and configuration tasks.
  • Ensure integration and communication between peripheral systems (e.g., imaging equipment, door/badge systems) and the practice management platform.
  • Support environments leveraging Microsoft Entra ID for identity and access management.
  • Answer site-level technical questions during migrations and guide onsite technicians through execution steps.
  • Create and publish documentation for both site teams and internal engineering teams to standardize processes and knowledge sharing.

Must-Haves
  • Experience leading or supporting remote workstation refreshes and Windows 10/11 upgrade initiatives.
  • Prior experience administering Microsoft Entra ID environments, assigning user
  • Solid networking fundamentals, including DNS, routing, switching, firewall concepts, and Wi-Fi configuration.
  • Proven remote support experience using RMM tools such as TeamViewer or Ninja RMM.
  • Experience deploying printers, migrating user profiles, and performing endpoint scripting through remote tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot device-to-application connectivity issues.
  • Strong documentation skills and experience publishing technical guides for engineers.

Nice-to-Haves
  • PowerShell and/or Python scripting experience.
  • Network+ or similar networking certification.
  • Experience supporting multi-site migrations or standardized network stack rollouts.
  • Experience coordinating onsite “smart hands” resources during infrastructure projects.
