TITLE:   Senior Application Security Engineer
Location:  Remote
Duration: FTE / Direct Hire 
Pay:  150K + Bonus

Ideal Skillset:
  • 5+ years in Information Security
  • 3+ years Application Development experience 
  • Deep understanding of the OWASP top 10 principles of Application Security 
  • Ability to explain common attack vectors, such as buffer overflows, SQL injection, CSRF, and XSS, in detail to software developers and management
  • The ability to influence behaviors to reduce risk and foster a strong security culture throughout the enterprise
  • Penetration Testing experience (Burp Suite, Zap, etc)
  • Comfortability with IDE Visual Studio Cod
Day to Day: A client in the Healthcare IT space is looking for a Senior Application Security Engineering to join the team. This individual will be interfacing with product teams (QA, Developers, DevOps, Team Owners) working with them on application code, reviewing risk assessments and helping those teams understand application security and how they can improve. This person will be spending a lot of time on backlog managing existing code. They will act as a liaison for security tooling, a resource for developers and take care of the health of code security tools. As they progress, they will need to compile patterns and practices over time to create more efficiency.
