What You'll Do:
- Ensure Unwavering Availability: Guarantee 24/7 availability and peak performance for all critical infrastructure, including storage arrays, servers, networks, and middleware, directly supporting patient care and operational efficiency.
- Lead Strategic Infrastructure Projects: Direct and coordinate infrastructure projects, ensuring they align seamlessly with our healthcare client’s strategic business goals and deliver measurable value.
- Manage Resources & Budgets: Oversee project budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and meticulously manage all licensing, maintenance, and support agreements for our extensive infrastructure.
- Cultivate Technical Talent: Lead, mentor, and develop the Technical Services team, optimizing resource allocation and driving strong performance management.
- Champion Change Management: Implement and enforce robust change management controls for all infrastructure updates and deployments, minimizing risk and ensuring smooth transitions.
- Engage Executive Leadership: Prepare and deliver clear, concise documentation and briefings to executive leadership, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
- Shape IT Strategy: Play a key role in developing long-term IT strategy, contributing to policy formation and driving continuous process improvement initiatives across the department.
- Uphold Healthcare Standards: Ensure all IT infrastructure is implemented and maintained to meet the highest healthcare-grade reliability, compliance, and performance standards, including HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
- Drive Vendor Relationships: Lead critical vendor evaluations, manage RFP/RFI responses, and oversee major procurement efforts to secure the best solutions for our infrastructure needs.
- Resolve Complex Challenges: Serve as the primary escalation point for the most complex technical issues and critical decision-making, providing expert guidance and solutions.
- Deliver Customer-Focused Support: Foster a culture of excellence in customer support, ensuring IT infrastructure services meet the diverse needs of departments and stakeholders across the health system.
What You'll Bring:
- Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field coupled with 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including a minimum of 4 years in a dedicated leadership role.
- Enterprise Infrastructure Expertise: Proven track record overseeing large-scale, enterprise-level infrastructure environments, specifically including servers, storage solutions, and network architectures.
- Network & Security Acumen: Deep proficiency in LAN/WAN protocols, internetworking, firewall management, Windows environments, and robust network security principles.
- Leadership in Solution Implementation: Demonstrated ability to lead and empower technical teams through the selection, implementation, and optimization of industry-best hardware and software solutions.
- Exceptional Communication: Strong, articulate communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical teams and executive audiences.
- Strategic Planning & Management: A verifiable history of effectively managing large budgets, negotiating and overseeing vendor contracts, and contributing to strategic infrastructure planning.

- Direct experience within a healthcare or hospital system environment.
