Position: Desktop Technician
Location: Onsite- San Antonio, TX
Job Type: Contract
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient with Windows 10 and Office 365, specifically:
- OneDrive
- MS Teams and SharePoint
- MS Office Pro Plus (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access)
- Collaboration features in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Dell and Apple hardware (desktops, laptops, docking stations, and iPads) in single and multiple display setups.
- Knowledge of Audio/Visual equipment and support for department meetings using WebEx and Zoom.
- Ability to work effectively in team and educational settings.
- Willingness to travel between centers and partnership schools.
- Install desktops, laptops, iPads, and peripherals.
- Respond to Tier II support requests via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Follow set procedures for making configuration changes, updates, and upgrades.
- Assist with deploying new computers, software, and hardware upgrades as part of the PC replacement program.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and communicate updates to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot problems using checklists and scripts, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain records of repairs, asset inventory, software applications, and help desk tickets.
- Provide remote troubleshooting support for offsite users.
- Assist with network connectivity issues, including desktop phones, credit card machines, and other department IT assets.
- Installation of IT equipment.
- Managing Help Desk tickets and resolving technical issues.
- Documentation of recurring issues and solutions.
- Provide professional support for executive staff and department members.
