Windows Engineer
Duration: Perm

Location: 100% Remote 

Salary Range:  $70 - 110K DOE

Unlimited PTO

Our established client is seeking a Windows Engineer, who is highly skilled within Windows upgrades within a virtualized environment. The position will report to the Director of Infrastructure Services and will be responsible for systems support and configuration. 

Desired Skillsets:
  • 3 years experienced as general System Admin/System Engineer
  • Experience with operating system upgrades and be ok with this being the focus for the next few years  
  • Experience performing upgrade in place of Operating Systems (ex. Windows 2012 to Windows 2019)
  • Experience performing migration-based upgrades (Build bare-metal VM alongside incumbent and migrate required data and applications).
  • Experience performing upgrade in place of Microsoft SQL Servers
  • Experience performing migration-based upgrades of Microsoft SQL servers
  • Understand and perform file-based migrations with robocopy
  • Experience performing upgrades/migrations of Microsoft Clustered Servers, to include file servers and SQL clusters
  • Ability to troubleshoot and mitigate server performance issues.
